Job Summary
Inspect machinery for electrical, batching, boiler, and tank issues while prioritizing repairs and preventative maintenance via a computerized work order system. Document all observations, work performed, and parts used to maintain accurate records, and manage parts inventory by communicating shortages and organizing stock. Schedule downtime or after-hours maintenance and contract work, operating heavy equipment and assisting with receiving, flaking, and loader duties as needed. Perform daily housekeeping to clean millwork areas and ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations. Work in an environment with loud noise, high temperatures, and moving mechanical parts, adhering to strict safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of electrical systems and boilers
- Mechanical abilities
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers
- Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent
