Job Summary
The Mill IT Support Analyst I supports 60+ applications enabling unit operations in a Global Cellulose Fibers mill, with 24/7 hardware and software availability, disaster recovery, and ongoing updates/maintenance of mill IT hardware and applications. Responsibilities include hardware and software troubleshooting across desktop, server, and network domains; vendor management; scripting and database work (VBScript, Stored Procedures, SQL Server); Plant Application Administration (Plant Model Hierarchy, AF analytics, PI system data integrity); PI Administration and data flow configuration; licensing management; cross-functional collaboration with plant operators, supervisors, and management; ensuring high uptime manufacturing IT support and adherence to mill safety policies; opportunity to participate in planning and implementing data communication infrastructure using IT standards; and providing operational support for continuous improvement of paper production quality and manufacturing cost optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field required, or equivalent experience required
- 5 - 8 years of related Information Systems experience required
- Information Technology experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Mill IT Support Specialist experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and across teams
- Excellent communication and customer-focus skills
