Job Summary
Conduct pre-unloading tests, unload and record all incoming milk, and operate screening equipment to test bacteria and DMC. Clean both manually and via CIP, maintain general housekeeping, and report equipment issues to the Supervisor. Obtain and maintain all required licenses to perform job duties. Positively represent Great Lakes Cheese to milk suppliers while adhering to Safe Quality Food Program policies and Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform any additional assignments as directed by the manager.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices
- Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality & safety issues
- Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands
- Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying
- Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors or other motorized vehicles in tight quarters
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- SAP experience
- Lab experience
