Job Summary

Cultivate strong relationships with breastmilk donors to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective collection of surplus milk for premature babies across Australia. Conduct clinical assessments and apply lactation expertise while maintaining product safety standards during home and hospital visits. Provide exceptional service to donors and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to address supply and demand issues. Requires current AHPRA registration, unrestricted driver's licence, phlebotomy skills, and demonstrated understanding of supporting breastfeeding women. Based at the Melbourne Processing Centre, working Wednesday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • current AHPRA registration
  • Annual License Certificate (with no restrictions)
  • Demonstrated lactation expertise
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • experience with blood collection
  • Current, unrestricted driver's licence
  • Ability to conduct clinical assessments
  • apply clinical knowledge in practice
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional service
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of breastmilk supply and demand issues
  • Permanent Part-Time - 22.80 hours per week
  • Working days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience working with neonatal populations
  • Experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or food regulatory environment
  • Flexibility to provide support to the Milk Collection Manager role when required
