Job Summary
Apply expert-level knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) to support planning and analysis efforts for the Department of War and U.S. Pacific Command. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape Concept Exploration, Course of Action Analysis, and Operational Planning using advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis tools. Collect, analyze, and curate authoritative military information in a smart knowledge management environment while translating doctrine into actionable products for simulation software development. Provide Blue Force expertise during studies, experiments, and analytical assessments to deliver high-quality written, visual, and analytical deliverables that inform senior decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 14+ years of operational military experience
- Direct experience with operational planning and developing concepts of operation and courses of action in support of Joint or Service Component Operational Planning efforts
- U.S. military Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) designation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small, high-performance team environment
- Strong collaborative skills with experience working in expert-driven, multidisciplinary teams
- Location: On-site in Hawaii
- Minimal 0-20% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a STEM discipline
- 16+ years of operational military experience
- Extensive experience planning at a combatant command or service component command
- Experience supporting analytical studies of military operations
- Experience with military exercises or wargames
- 2+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools
