Job Summary
Calibrate process instrumentation for temperature, pressure, and flow; troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and control systems supporting aerospace manufacturing. Install and replace motors, pumps, and valves while diagnosing faults using multimeters and loop calibrators. Perform root cause analyses and maintain accurate CMMS records for work orders and maintenance history. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including LOTO and AS9100 standards, and work extended hours or weekends as needed. This internship supports GE Aerospace's Facilities and Maintenance team in advancing cutting-edge ceramic matrix composite products.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma or High School Diploma, associate degree, or apprenticeship in Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent certification
- Active Military personnel on their last 180 days of Military service
- At least five (5) years industrial E&I maintenance (manufacturing, process plant, utilities, or lab environment etc.) performing instrument calibrations and equipment maintenance
- Must have strong electrical, instrumentation and related calibration skills for field devices and control loops
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Must be US citizen and obtain security clearance
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
