Job Summary
Licensed behavioral health professional providing non-medical MFLC counseling to active-duty service members and their families. Responsibilities include face-to-face counseling for individuals, couples, and families; observing and engaging with service members and families; coaching and support for installation staff; modeling behavior management techniques; delivering presentations at military-connect events; building rapport at installation/community events; assisting with transitions (new school/home); and participating in in-service training. Role involves travel on military installations and to various locations, with licensure portability across jurisdictions under NDAA requirements and no required medical treatment plans. Must hold an approved license in the mental health field and be a U.S. citizen; prepared to undergo background checks and related clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPC, Psychologist)
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to pass basic background check for employment, a CNACI/NACI clearance
