Job Summary
Non-medical counseling to military service members and families as part of the Child and Youth Behavioral, Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) team. Responsibilities include working at installation Child Development Centers with children aged 0-5 and school-aged children, youth, and teens on educational activities and developmental focus; observing, engaging with children, coaching staff and parents, modeling behavior management techniques, delivering presentations on social skills development and social-emotional learning, promoting creativity and positivity with approved materials, building rapport with parents and families at installation events, assisting children with transition adjustments (new school/new home), and participating in regular in-service training; minimal use of intervention notes and licensing support; eligible facilities provide iPad-based reporting; travel to varied outdoor/indoor settings as required. Licensure portability allows practice across states/territories under NDAA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass basic background check and CNACI/public trust clearance
