Job Summary
Milieu Specialist leads de-escalation and support strategies to prevent seclusion/restraint and provides emergency response to imminent danger, delivering a No-Force-First recovery environment. Responsibilities include observing guests, developing natural supports and community living, assisting with food preparation and cleanup, aiding with showering/clean-up, conducting room safety checks, completing clinical documentation, and ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations and Recovery Innovations policies. Cross-functional collaboration includes assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers; the role requires effective communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work across shifts in a crisis behavioral health setting. The position requires a HS diploma, a valid Food Handler’s Certification, and background checks; driving may be required. Travel may be necessary based on business needs. Must be 18+ and able to pass required background checks and screenings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active Food Handler’s Certification required
- Minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health experience, crisis environment preferred
- Security or law enforcement experience preferred
