Required Qualifications

• •High School diploma or GED
• •Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• •Must be able to successfully complete a job specific physical agility test
• •Must be available for Nights, 11pm to 7:30 am shifts
• •Must be available for Every other Saturday and Sunday shifts
• •Must be available for 16 hours/wk.
• •Must be available for every other weekend
• •Must be able to work Mon through Tue for orientation
• •Must be able to work 7 business days in total for orientation
• •Must be able to work Orientation is held during the day
• •Must be able to provide quality care according to Cambridge Health Alliance standards of nursing practice
• •Must be able to attend to the individual needs of patients in crisis in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• •Must be able to assist with ADL's
• •Must be able to lead or co-lead groups
• •Must be able to perform safety checks
• •Must be able to conduct 1:1 meetings with patients
• •Must be able to chart patients B/P, TPR & weight
• •Must be able to help maintain patients' nutritional and hydration needs
• •Must be able to communicate with nurses of any changes in vital signs
• •Must be able to accurately measure and document patients' intake and output
• •Must be able to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• •Must be able to provide a safe and structured unit milieu
• •Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team
• •Must be able to work in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• •Must be able to work in a Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit
• •Must be able to work with patients who are aged 55 and older
• •Must be able to work in a 22 bed unit
• •Must be able to work in a vibrant activities program
• •Must be able to participate in special group sessions and programming
• •Must be able to engage individual patient strengths and interests
• •Must be able to work with a dynamic interdisciplinary psychiatry team
• •Must be able to work with nurses, milieu counselors, providers and social workers
• •Must be able to work in a designated activity group room
• •Must be able to work with musical instruments
• •Must be able to work with art supplies
• •Must be able to work with other items to engage individual patient strengths and interests
