Migration Specialist - Contractor
$1,800–$9,600 year
RemoteUnited States
Job Summary
Lead migration projects for new Kit customers, managing CSV imports, form/landing page rebuilds, and automation recreation across multiple ESP platforms. Collaborate with the Implementations Team and Customer Support to handle technically complex accounts, ensuring accurate subscriber/tag mapping and domain authentication. Deliver comprehensive warm-up plans and QA checks while communicating directly with creators via Zoom or Loom to guide them through the onboarding process. This part-time, six-month contract role requires self-management and proactive issue resolution, with compensation based on completed milestones ranging from $150 to $800 per project.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with email marketing platform migrations or technical onboarding
- Experience managing multiple concurrent client projects with individual timelines
- Background supporting technically complex accounts (multiple integrations, custom automations, large lists)
- Experience working directly with creators or small businesses on customer-facing technical work
- Comfort with project-based/contract work and invoicing
- Proactive communicator — flags unresponsive creators, at-risk timelines, and scope creep early rather than waiting to be asked
- Detail-oriented — catches mapping errors and scope gaps before they become customer-facing problems
- Comfortable with ambiguity across different tech stacks and account complexity levels
- Empathetic but maintains professional boundaries with creators — holds deadlines and process while staying warm
- Reliable and self-managing, since this is project-based work without close day-to-day supervision
- 100% remote
- East Coast business hours availability
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Kit's platform: Visual Automation builder, forms/landing pages, tagging, sequences, and API v4 basics
- CSV data handling and subscriber/tag mapping across source platforms
- Deliverability fundamentals — domain authentication, send history review, warm-up planning
- Clear written and verbal communication with creators, including comfort on Zoom/Loom for walkthroughs
- Familiarity with multiple ESP platforms (Kajabi, Beehiiv, ActiveCampaign, Flodesk, Substack, GoHighLevel, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Infusionsoft/Keap)
- Comfort working async and asynchronously across a project portal (Arrows), Slack, email
