Job Summary
Identify eligible migrant students within the Local Education Agency boundaries and complete Certificates of Eligibility by obtaining parent signatures and submitting documentation timely. Translate materials orally and in writing between English and Spanish to collaborate with schools, agencies, and employers while recruiting parents for the Parent Advisory Council. Maintain daily logs of activities, mileage, and time; document student records, compliance reports, and Individual Learning Plans to ensure funding requirement compliance. Analyze demographic and assessment data to identify academic and health needs, preparing reports for district and state use. Organize parent support activities, workshops, and meetings to involve families in educational programs and link students to necessary services. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to reach the migrant population and maintain positive communication between home and school.
Required Qualifications
- A 2 Year Associates Degree from an accredited community college.
- Valid NC Driver's License and personal transportation with current auto insurance and liability coverage.
- Ability to speak, read, and write clearly and concisely in English and Spanish.
- Ability to translate, both orally and in writing, a variety of materials from English to Spanish.
- Strong computer skills including word processing, data input, translation software, email, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to work independently and to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, and weekends.
Desired Qualifications
- A 4 Year Bachelor Degree from an accredited college/university.
