Migrant Education Program (MEP) Family Liaison/Recruiter/Tutor

Job Summary
Develop and update the district's Identification and Recruitment Plan twice annually to identify eligible migrant youth. Recruit families, build community partnerships, and provide targeted academic support through tutoring at schools and homes. Serve as a liaison connecting families with school programs, resources, and services while ensuring full compliance with federal and state documentation requirements. Maintain accurate confidential records, monitor enrollment, and assist with planning supplemental educational programs like summer school. Conduct frequent travel for home visits and outreach events to promote student success.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, school personnel, and community partners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in using computers and data management systems
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
