Migrant Education Program (MEP) Family Liaison/Recruiter/Tutor

Job Summary
Develop and update the district's Identification and Recruitment Plan twice annually while identifying and recruiting eligible migrant youth across the district. Build partnerships with schools, community organizations, and agricultural camps to connect families with educational opportunities and resources. Serve as a liaison between families and agencies to provide referrals, schedule appointments, and foster engagement. Complete Certificates of Eligibility, needs assessments, and annual reverification documents while maintaining accurate, confidential student records in data management systems. Assist with planning Migrant Summer School, support the Parent Advisory Council, and provide tutoring to students at schools or homes. Monitor student progress and ensure full compliance with federal and state program standards. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, school personnel, and community partners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in using computers and data management systems
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
