Migrant Education Academic Planning Teacher (TOSA) - .50 FTE - Hood River Valley High School

Design, coordinate, and evaluate supplemental academic programs for migratory students in PreK–8, aligning with district priorities and Title I-C requirements. Collaborate with school-based Academic Support Specialists, administrators, teachers, families, and community partners to identify student needs, monitor progress, and support successful transitions between preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school. Partner with staff to coordinate services, evaluate program effectiveness, analyze student data, and recommend continuous improvements while participating in individual student plan development and Multi-tiered Systems of Support implementation. Coordinate after-school, evening, and extended learning opportunities, including family workshops and academic enrichment activities, while instructing students in academic, interpersonal, and daily living skills. Assess students, prepare teaching materials and reports, and manage classroom behavior using proactive strategies. Maintain regular attendance, monitor student activities, and report incidents to ensure a safe learning environment. Work flexible schedules including afternoon or evening hours, with additional hours identified collaboratively at the beginning of each trimester.
