Job Summary
Weld MIG and light TIG steel components while reading blueprints and fabrication prints to complete projects accurately. Lay out, fit, align, and weld metal assemblies, then perform grinding, sanding, and finishing. Operate plasma cutters, torches, grinders, overhead cranes, and hoists to move and organize materials safely. Inspect welds for quality and compliance, measure materials with precision tools, and maintain a clean work environment while following OSHA regulations and wearing required PPE. Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with overtime and some weekends as needed. Competitive pay of $19.00–$22.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Welder, MIG Welder, Production Welder, or Fabricator
- Experience with MIG welding
- Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and welding procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely operate grinders, plasma cutters, torches, overhead cranes, and hand tools
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently and over 100 pounds with assistance
- Stand and walk throughout the entire shift on concrete floors
- Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach
- Work safely around moving machinery, welding equipment, and airborne particles
- Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, respirators, and protective clothing
- Monday through Friday schedule
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM shift
- Overtime available
- Some weekends required based on production needs
