Job Summary
Welder at Modineer Company performing welding and related tasks in production, with welding up to 75% of duties. Responsibilities include reading work instructions, loading/unloading parts, changing weld tips/nozzles/fixtures, wearing PPE, conducting product quality checks per work instructions, packaging parts per specifications, using small hand-held tools, reading measurement devices, assembling parts into jig fixtures, welding per print specifications or process documentation, removing weld spatter, and physically handling parts up to 50 lbs. Requires passing weld skill tests and evaluations, and a required eye exam; factory-based environment with potential for extended hours. Prolonged standing/sitting and use of PPE in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass weld skill test
- Must pass written and practical weld evaluations
- Must pass visual acuity eye exam (with or without corrective lenses)
- Must be able to use small hand tools, grinders, sanders, etc.
- Must be able to accurately complete all required production system documentation (production reports, inspection reports)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle parts for extended periods
- Ability to read and understand measurement devices and work instructions
