Job Summary
Build subassemblies for compactors and balers by welding sides, floors, dog boxes, tops, doors, and wire gates to acceptable quality expectations across flat, down, and over positions. Position parts using clamps, tack welds, and layout marks at floor, table, shoulder, and above shoulder levels while reading basic blueprints and applying tape measure skills. Meet production standards and maintain good attendance, safety, and positive attitude records. Full-time role with a starting pay rate dependent on skill level determined by weld tests, including a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid over 60 days, 6 months, and 1 year.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years MIG Welding experience
- Experienced MIG welder
- Can read basic blueprints or drawings
- Ability to use tape measure
- Ability to do basic math and tape measure reading
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
- Stand, walk, and talk, or hear
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to meet production standards
- Must maintain good attendance record
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must maintain good safety record
- Must maintain positive attitude
