Job Summary
Fabricate, join, and repair steel components using MIG welding techniques while interpreting blueprints and inspecting welds for structural soundness. Prepare materials and setup equipment or robotic devices, maintaining a clean work area and following all safety policies. Complete required apprenticeship training and maintain MIG Welder certification. Operate forklifts and cranes, read simple diagrams, and use hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure error-free work. Work under direct supervision on the first shift at $24.00 per hour. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass and maintain MIG Welder certification
- Ability to speak, write, and comprehend conversational English
- 20/30 vision with the use of corrective lenses
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, including walking 2-5 miles per shift
- Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop repeatedly for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 25lbs – 50lbs from floor to waist and front carry up to 25lbs – 50lbs, repeatedly per shift
- Ability to reach overhead, squat, kneel, and climb short ladders or steps
- Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision
- Ability to read labels, follow safety and standard operating procedures, and communicate effectively in an industrial environment
