Job Summary
Perform MIG welding on sheet metal and structural components while reading complex mechanical blueprints. Measure, cut, and fit materials to tight tolerances through full-cycle fabrication including layout, fit-up, and assembly. Operate overhead cranes and use precision measuring equipment to ensure structural integrity of custom industrial enclosures for data center infrastructure projects. Work the 1st shift (5:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with Saturdays as needed, including overtime up to 60–65 hours weekly. This contract-to-hire role offers strong long-term conversion potential within a rapidly scaling manufacturer.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of welding/fabrication experience
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Experience with precision measurement tools (tape, calipers, micrometers)
- Proven ability to weld to tight tolerances
- MIG welding
- Willingness to work overtime (up to 60–65 hrs/week when ramped)
