Job Summary
Perform MIG welding on structural steel components for trailer and heavy equipment fabrication. Assist with assembly of trailer parts and chassis while reading shop drawings and measurements. Grind, clean, and prepare metal before welding, then inspect welds to ensure proper penetration and quality. Follow shop safety standards and production schedules. Entry-level welders welcome with basic welding understanding and tape measure skills. Must pass a 1/8 horizontal plate MIG weld test during the interview process.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of welding and fabrication
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
- Pass the welding test
