Job Summary
Fabricate parts by welding various components using gas and electric equipment while maintaining a clean work area free of debris. Prepare surfaces, set up, assemble, and weld parts according to supervisor instructions and production standards. Read blueprints, complete inventory tickets, and operate welding machines with manual dexterity. Lift 50 pounds regularly and work without close supervision in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment. Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with up to two Saturdays per month and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass company entry level welding and tape tests
- Must be able to understand verbal and written orders
- Must be able to weld a visually acceptable bead
- Must be able to count and sort products
- Must be able to read all blueprints
- Must be able to complete inventory tickets
- Must be able to set up welding machines
- Must have manual dexterity skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 years' experience in welding or more
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day
- Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends, as required
