Job Summary
Fabricate parts by welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric equipment while maintaining a clean work area free of debris. Prepare surfaces, assemble components, and set up welding machines per supervisor instructions. Read blueprints, count products, and complete inventory tickets while meeting or exceeding production standards. Perform duties without close supervision and handle materials up to 50 pounds. Work Monday through Friday from 9:30 pm to 6:00 pm, with up to two Saturdays monthly required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass company entry level welding and tape tests
- Must be able to understand verbal and written orders
- Must be able to weld a visually acceptable bead
- Must be able to count and sort products
- Must be able to read all blueprints
- Must be able to complete inventory tickets
- Must be able to set up welding machines
- Must have manual dexterity skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 years' experience in welding or less
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day
- Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends, as required
