Job Summary
Perform MIG and/or TIG welding in a shop fabrication environment, including occasional field welding and installation projects. Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols to fit, fabricate, and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components to specifications. Grind, finish, and inspect completed welds while operating fabrication equipment safely and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures. First shift opportunity with pay of $24-$32/hour based on experience. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
- Strong fabrication and fitting skills
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel occasionally for short-duration projects
- Ability to lift materials and work in both shop and field environments
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication
- Carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum welding
- Plasma cutting and oxy-fuel torch operation
- Grinding, finishing, and weld inspection
- Material layout and fit-up
- Experience with aluminum
- Forklift or skid steer experience
