Job Summary
Conduct clinical care for complex gynecologic diseases at UW Hospital and Clinics and Meriter UnityPoint Hospital, utilizing office-based and minimally invasive surgical modalities. Manage full participation in call for the benign gynecology service and lead involvement in a multi-disciplinary pelvic pain clinic. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows while assisting in advanced benign gynecologic surgeries and developing skills metrics in the simulation lab. Initiate and participate in clinical, educational, and quality outcome research projects alongside administrative committee work. Support the clinical and scholarly mission of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health through a collegial relationship with faculty members.
Required Qualifications
- proficient in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
- demonstrated an interest in clinical and/or educational research
- ability to initiate and participate in research projects and studies
- ability to participate in quality and outcome programs
- ability to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- ability to participate in administrative and committee work
- ability to work in a collegial relationship with other faculty members
- oversight of surgical training programs related to medical students, residents, and fellowships
- advanced surgical training opportunities for faculty
