Job Summary
Perform welding and fabrication duties using welders, grinders, torches, band saws, shears, punches, and drill press. Read blueprints and drawings, complete paperwork, and communicate with coworkers. Operate forklifts and assist with loading. Participate in skills demonstrations to prove proficiency. Requires 1+ year welding experience and stable work history in structural steel fabrication. Must join Local 516 Union. Schedule Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 2pm and 7:30am to 4pm. Pay $25-$33 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year welding experience
- Stable work history with previous experience in structural steel fabrication
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods (4+ hours)
- Must be willing to join the Local 516 Union
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift and/or loading experience
- AWS D1.1 FCAW certification
- Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication shop
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
