Job Summary
Drive business results within your defined geographical region through direct sales, dealer sales, and distributor sales coordination. Research the market to maintain an accurate regional contact database and convert opportunities into new business by meeting current and prospective customers regularly. Plan and execute product demonstrations while answering technical questions by reviewing product drawings and liaising with engineering departments. Prepare and present sales proposals, manage warranty and service work, and participate in developing and executing marketing strategies for the territory. Lead follow-up efforts at regional and national trade shows, conduct new product delivery training, and assist in training new Territory Managers. Travel 60% to 80% of the time to provide weekly activity summary reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years' experience
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- OR have any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
- Read and interpret documents
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers and Integral dx employees
- Use Microsoft Office - outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint, Microsoft project
- Be technologically advanced on smart devices
- Have knowledge of machinery, equipment, material, bill of materials, etc.
- Utilize strong active listening skills
- Multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Travel required is 60% to 80% of time
Desired Qualifications
- Gain a working knowledge of MRP to assist in managing, prospecting, and closing sales opportunities
- Conduct new product delivery training and/or commissioning
- Promote aftermarket offerings including service part sales
- Coordinate any warranty and/or service work within the region
- Light service work may be performed by the Territory Manager
- Participate in developing marketing strategies for territory
- Participate in regional associations, regional and national trade shows
- Lead the follow up effort
- Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of exhibitor lists for trade shows
- Participate in business planning and/or budget planning
- Participate in training of new Territory Managers as needed
- Achieve and maintain proficiency in manufacturing and engineering terminology
- Understand and review product drawings, 3D models, and bills of material of all configurations
- Answer technical and applications questions on products
- Ability to liaise with engineering and/or manufacturing departments for complex questions
- Prepare, review, and present product sales proposals
- Utilize effective communication with customers, both internally and externally
- Work with engineering and manufacturing departments to get accurate data and specifications on proposals
- Research current market to develop and maintain accurate regional contact database
- Use research and build relationships to understand customer applications
