Job Summary
Design, install, and support control systems for production facilities, salt water disposal sites, and compressor stations. Provide engineering guidance to plant personnel on existing control systems and HMIs while participating in design phases, including Process Hazard Analysis and PLC/HMI programming. Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform complex tests, and maintain interfaces between field automation and SCADA systems. Support checkout and start-up activities for new facilities, utilizing expertise in industrial communications protocols and software development for Allen Bradley and Rockwell Logix platforms. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with three years of related experience and 10-15% travel to field locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required- Engineering degree, such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required
- Control emphasis preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related role
- Expert understanding of computer programming and software development, as the incumbent will be required to support various software packages for PLCs, HMIs and Flow Computers with an emphasis on Allen Bradley, also to include Rockwell Logix 5000, Emerson Remote Operations Controllers (ROCs), Red Lion HMIs, etc.
- Must have experience with 120V, 480V and 24VDC
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to effectively diagnose and solve problems
- Must be able to physically and legally operate company owned vehicles
- Must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice
