Job Summary
Middle School Study Skills Teacher for Berkley School District, Detroit, part-time for the 2026-27 school year. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, teaching, and assessing a comprehensive program of study; developing daily lesson plans aligned to instruction and practice; creating pre- and post-instruction assessments; managing classroom environment and behavior; delivering engaging instruction with varied strategies; using community resources, field trips, and guest speakers to expand student learning; maintaining accurate attendance and grades records; communicating progress to students and parents; participating in professional development and district improvement efforts; fingerprinting background check required prior to employment; apply by emailing a cover letter and resume to gary.yee@berkleyschools.org.
