Job Summary
Middle School Special Education Teacher with responsibility for developing and monitoring accommodations for students with special needs. Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 plans and IEPs, differentiate instruction, deliver pull-out/push-in/small group/one-on-one instruction, and participate in weekly meetings to align with school-wide goals. Required to hold or pursue MA special education licensure and MTELs within the first year, with compensation between $71,000 and $116,000 annually based on experience and certifications. Location: Quincy, MA; in-person teaching role with comprehensive benefits and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Massachusetts MTEL requirements or teacher certification to meet MA state requirements
- MA special education license or Special Education license or equivalent issued by another state or documented completion of approved undergraduate or graduate program in special education
- If not holding a license, may deliver specialized instruction under supervision by an appropriately licensed educator
- MTELs: Communications and Literacy Skills; MTEL subject area tests (English or Mathematics)
- SEI endorsement
- Possession or qualification to teach Special Education at appropriate grade level and severity per MA requirements
