Middle School Teacher - ELA Teacher

Conduct daily instruction using available materials and developmental practices to promote student growth in mental, physical, emotional, and social areas. Maintain accurate records including attendance, health files, and report cards while planning weekly lessons and managing the classroom environment. Evaluate student progress continuously, provide individualized support, and cooperate with parents, school-based personnel, and central office staff. Notify leadership of absences, supply substitutes with adequate plans, and participate in faculty meetings and inservice training. Adhere to Louisiana laws regarding student safety and welfare within a climate-controlled school setting, occasionally working outside in extreme conditions.
