Middle School Special Education Teacher - Specialized Classroom

Teach middle school subjects to students with neurological, mental, emotional, and/or behavioral impairments by planning curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and instructing students using specialized strategies to improve sensory, motor, perceptional, and cognitive development. Confers with parents, administrators, and specialists to develop individual educational plans, while creating learning materials tailored to each student's ability and interest. Provide consistent reinforcement, conduct continuous assessments of functioning, and offer feedback on all learning activities. May teach in self-contained classrooms or resource rooms.
