Job Summary

Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum to meet unique student needs, collaborate with general education teachers for small group sessions, and ensure RTI instructional system implementation. Educate parents on instructional strategies, oversee data collection and progress monitoring, and use data to guide whole and small group instruction planning. Provide guidance to teachers on identifying students requiring additional help, coordinate Tier 2 interventions, and offer ongoing training to staff on data collection procedures. Serve as a daily resource to administrators regarding RTI issues and facilitate special education eligibility. This full-time virtual role requires a 40+ hour workweek, 9-5 schedule, and up to 20% travel for professional development and testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active state teaching license
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Must reside in Arizona
  • May consider surrounding states
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, and use it to drive instructional decisions
  • Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
  • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum
  • Arizona Department of Education Middle School Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Arizona fingerprinting card

  • Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment
  • Experience with online learning platforms
