Job Summary
Middle School Special Education Teacher for grades 6-8 in Stewartville School District. Responsibilities include developing materials and lesson plans, conducting classroom instruction, evaluating and assessing student performance, meeting with parents, informing guardians about student progress, and collaborating with a team to support students across multiple settings. Preference for applicants with a current teaching license in ABS, ASD, or EBD or another license area and willingness to obtain an Out of Field license (OFP).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Preference for teachers with a current teaching license in ABS, ASD, or EBD (or another license area) and willingness to obtain an Out of Field License (OFP)
- Ability to communicate clearly to staff and parents/guardians
- Ability to complete all necessary due process paperwork
- Ability to work with a team to support students across multiple settings
- Ability to lift or transfer 30 lbs
