Job Summary
Middle School Social Studies Teacher responsible for developing lesson plans and instructional materials, employing effective teaching strategies, maintaining classroom management, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs, and assessing student progress using multiple methods. The role includes communicating with parents, upholding school policies, and collaborating with families and staff. Requires NC teaching authorization (Bachelor’s degree in education and NC Teaching License/licensure). Knowledge of NC Standard Course of Study, Common Core and Essential Standards, and a strong commitment to professional development and ethical professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program in subject area
- NC Teaching License in appropriate subject area or qualifications to obtain a NC teaching License
- NC DPI Licensure
