Job Summary
Middle School Social Studies Coordinator role (Part-time Teacher Leader) with a $3,000 annual stipend for a 2-year appointment. Responsibilities include facilitating instruction of Social Studies core curriculum, coordinating unit assessment data analysis, aligning standards to the middle school curriculum, collaborating with school/district leaders and teachers to identify improvement areas, supporting professional learning, and serving on the school leadership team. Requires RI middle school Social Studies teaching certification and five years of experience; preferred experience as a teacher leader, collaboration with educators and community partners, and skills in program development, data collection/analysis, evaluation, and reporting. Schedule to be determined in collaboration with the Principal; location is Warren, Rhode Island.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Rhode Island certification as a middle school Social Studies teacher
- Five years of successful middle school Social Studies teaching experience
- Any exceptions to the above as may be acceptable to the Superintendent
