Job Summary
Plan, organize, and oversee daily afterschool programs and activities that align with the organization's mission and student needs. Recruit, train, and manage afterschool program staff, developing their skills to enhance overall program quality. Serve as the primary point of contact for school administration and parents, fostering strong partnerships and communicating regularly to share updates. Address student behavior issues, monitor attendance, and maintain accurate records including incident reports. Ensure compliance with state regulations, manage the program budget, and oversee program setup, materials, and transportation. Act as the primary representative to all stakeholders while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for students and staff. Full-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Regional Manager with Monday to Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills
- 1+ years' experience managing a team
- To be a good communicator, able to talk to kids, parents, school admin and teachers comfortably, a problem solver, a team player, and a good listener
- Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff
- Professional attitude, commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professional discretion
- Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems
- College transcripts that show you have 48+ college credit units completed OR you take and pass an academic proficiency exam
- To get a TB test (and provide proof that it is negative) and pass a Live Scan background check
- You will be required to take CPR and first aid training or provide proof that you have been certified within 12 months
- Reliably commute before starting work (Required)
- If the school you will be working at requires a Covid-19 vaccination, then you must provide documentation that shows you are fully Covid-19 vaccinated
