Job Summary
Middle School Science Teacher role delivering an interdisciplinary, NGSS-aligned science curriculum for middle school students. Responsibilities include shaping inquiry-based learning with labs, guiding students in questioning, modeling, data analysis, argumentation, and planning, meeting weekly with principals/coaches to analyze trends in student work, differentiating instruction to support all learners, and building positive relationships with students and families. The role emphasizes collaboration with grade-level teams, ongoing practice-based professional development, and active participation in weekly school-wide meetings to promote student achievement. Required Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; NY state certification eligibility requirements; enrollment in a teacher preparation program and maintaining GPA 2.5+ if not education degree; must become certified in NY within a reasonable period after beginning employment
