Job Summary
Teach interdisciplinary NGSS-aligned science to middle school students in urban New Jersey, developing inquiry-based labs and fostering students' scientific questioning and analysis. Collaborate with a grade-level team to meet weekly with a principal/coach to analyze student work, differentiate instruction, and adapt strategies for all learners. Build positive relationships with students and families, participate in weekly school-wide meetings, and contribute to a culture of equity and achievement. Requires a bachelor’s degree and NJ certification eligibility; 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred. Compensation between $56,000 and $80,000 with comprehensive benefits and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (certificate not prerequisite)
- All instructional staff required to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
