Job Summary
Middle School Science teacher at Uncommon Schools responsible for delivering NGSS-aligned, interdisciplinary science instruction to students in urban middle schools. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- MA educator’s license or pass required MTEL(s) including Communications and Literacy MTEL, Subject Specific MTEL, and MTEL SEI Endorsement within first year
- SEI endorsement for teachers of English learners within first year
- Academic expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
- If hired, pass state teacher certification tests to meet MA requirements
- 1-2 years experience in urban schools (preferred)
- Ability to teach NGSS-aligned interdisciplinary science curriculum
- Ability to differentiate instruction and analyze student data
- Professional collaboration with internal and external partners
- Commitment to social-emotional and academic development of students
