Job Summary

Teach an NGSS-aligned middle school science curriculum in a collaborative grade-level team. Responsibilities include guiding inquiry-based learning, developing students' questioning, modeling, data analysis, and explanations; conducting interactive labs; differentiating instruction to meet diverse learners; analyzing student work with weekly coaching/administration reviews; fostering positive relationships with students and families; participating in weekly school-wide meetings and ongoing professional development; and supporting students’ social-emotional and academic growth while working toward NJ certification eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • NJ state certification eligibility requirements (teacher certification not prerequisite)
  • Ability to meet NJ certification requirements within a reasonable period after beginning employment
  • Experience with K-12 urban schooling and a passion for science education
  • Academic expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
