Job Summary
Middle School Science Teacher-LTS to deliver standards-based science instruction, assess student progress, collaborate with other teachers and administrators, prepare and implement lesson plans aligned to curriculum guidelines, adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs, maintain accurate student records, communicate with parents/guardians, participate in professional development and staff meetings, and support school programs through instructional leadership and classroom management. Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and PA teaching certification in General Science or Middle Grades Science, demonstrate effective interpersonal and organizational skills, and meet required PA background clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in subject area of assignment-General Science or Middle Grades Science certification required
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to express self clearly and concisely in oral and written communications
- Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program
- Well organized with good time management skills
- Computer literate and competent with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
- Submission of PA School Personnel Health form
- Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances
