Job Summary
Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons aligned with Tennessee standards, incorporating appropriate assessments to gauge student comprehension. Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings to refine content, teaching moves, and classroom management while collaborating with grade-level teams and content specialists on professional development. Execute school-based duties including student conferences, arrival and dismissal, transitions, and lunch duty to support the full student experience. The role requires a valid Tennessee teaching license with a Science endorsement or a transferable out-of-state license, along with a Bachelor's degree. LEAD Public Schools seeks educators committed to helping all students achieve high levels and prepare for college and life.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate content endorsement to teach Science
- valid out of state license that can successfully be transferred to Tennessee within 90 days of employment
- demonstrate you are on track to complete the necessary steps towards certification in Tennessee
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years teaching experience
- Previous experience with diverse student populations or in an urban setting
