Job Summary
Middle School Science Teacher at Kairos Academies designs and delivers standards-aligned science instruction across life, earth, and physical sciences using inquiry-based and hands-on methods. The role involves facilitating labs and engineering challenges, using MAP/NWEA data to differentiate instruction, maintaining gradebooks, and providing actionable feedback. The teacher mentors students as a Kairos Coach, collaborates with grade- and content-area teams, and participates in PLCs and coaching cycles. Additional expectations include leading whole-school initiatives (STEM/leadership roles), supporting restorative practices and SEL, engaging families, and contributing to schoolwide improvement while adhering to the Kairos compensation framework and on-site schedule in St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field
- Valid Missouri Substitute Certification
- Demonstrated success increasing student engagement and achievement in science
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Eligible to work for any employer in the United States
