Job Summary
Create and implement a flexible science program and classroom environment favorable to student learning and personal growth. Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, utilizing differentiated instruction and diagnostic assessments to address individual student needs. Present subject matter with real-world applications, assign lessons, correct work, and generate progress reports while referring students with suspected learning problems to support personnel. Maintain accurate student records, coordinate field trips, and prepare students for state assessments. Establish positive rapport with students, staff, and parents; communicate clearly via all appropriate mediums and participate in extracurricular activities. Cooperate with administration and other staff to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly classroom that adheres to company policies and curriculum goals.

- Has the ability to be at work consistently, to be on time, to follow instructions, to respond to management direction and to solicit feedback to improve performance
- Demonstrates proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications
- Looks for ways to improve and promotes quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Strives to implement best practices and positive character education consistently
