Job Summary
Plan and provide excellent instruction for 6th grade Reading & Language Arts, including detailed lesson planning aligned to state standards, differentiated learning opportunities, and regular collaboration with grade/content teams. Responsibilities include timely submission of lesson plans, fostering strong student engagement, maintaining standards-based assessments, engaging families through school-wide activities, and contributing to school-wide decision-making. The role emphasizes building relationships with students and stakeholders, continuous improvement through coaching, and a project-based, standards-aligned instructional approach within a dual homeroom partner structure. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field and PA teacher certification within the first year (completed by year two).

- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Must hold or be actively working to obtain relevant PA teacher certification within the first year of employment, and completed by the second year
