Middle School Principal

The Avon Middle School Principal will serve as the instructional leader and chief administrative officer for Avon Middle School, leading students, faculty, and staff to create a positive environment for teaching and learning. Responsibilities include coordinating curriculum and instruction across grades, supervising and evaluating personnel, recruiting and hiring school personnel, monitoring budgets and expenditures, ensuring student safety and health, promoting a shared vision with teachers and parents, leveraging data-driven instruction to improve student learning, applying technology to enhance teaching, and developing procedures to meet district goals. The role requires collaboration with administrators, staff, and parents, strong communication skills, and a focus on school culture, climate, and community relations. Professional development and ongoing evaluation of programs and staff are part of the duty set, with accountability for maintaining effective programs and a positive school environment.
