Job Summary
Manage virtual instructional programs for middle school physical education students by conducting synchronous and asynchronous sessions, delivering lessons, and grading assignments. Create progress reports, score assessments, and provide feedback on student work while developing alternate approaches to increase understanding. Communicate regularly with parents, students, and learning coaches to update Personal Learning Plans, monitor assignments, and coach special projects. Maintain up-to-date student records, attendance data, and cumulative files. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to distribute tasks, organize state testing, and implement community-building activities. Travel occasionally for marketing and testing events. Work remotely with flexibility for evening hours and two-step authentication.
Required Qualifications
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School Physical Education in Indiana
- Residency in Indiana
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
