Job Summary
Middle School Math Teacher at Uncommon Schools. Teach foundational middle school math using CCSS-based curriculum, differentiate instruction, analyze student work with leadership, and participate in weekly school-wide meetings to foster student achievement and a positive classroom culture. Collaborate with grade-level teams and families to support diverse learners, engage in professional development, and contribute to a data-informed, equity-focused instructional program. Responsibilities include instruction (ratio/proportions, expressions/equations, number system), data analysis with principals/coaches, and building positive relationships to ensure students feel supported and challenged.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (teacher certification not prerequisite)
- Meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements (GPA thresholds)
- All instructional staff are required to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
