Job Summary
Middle School Math teacher role focusing on foundational math principles (ratio/proportions, expressions/equations, number system) using an in-house CCSS-based curriculum; collaborate in grade-level teams to support self-guided learning, differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners, and foster positive relationships with students and families. Responsibilities include data analysis with instructional coaching, engaging in practice-based PD, and contributing to school-wide goals and culture. Strong emphasis on mathematics mastery, student engagement, and community partnerships to support student achievement in urban school settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field
- NY state certification eligibility requirements or enrollment in a teacher preparation program, with certification to be obtained within a reasonable period after starting employment
- GPA of 2.5 or higher during employment if not holding an education degree
- Commitment to becoming certified in New York state within a reasonable period after beginning employment
- 1-2 years experience in urban schools preferred (Required Experience)
